Have you ever paid attention to Medium’s recommended topics on your homepage? They are a bit off the wall.

Here’s what they suggested for me today:

• Altcoins — I guess this is cryptocurrency. Are they the same as bitcoins? Or dogecoins? Aren’t dogecoins something Elon Musk likes? Not sure I care.
• Witchcraft — Interesting, who knew there was a topic on Medium devoted to Witchcraft?
• Writing Life — Yes, this one makes sense.
• Venture Capital — Everything I know about Venture Capital is from watching Silicon Valley.
• Hiking — I like to hike occasionally. I’m not sure I need my feed inundated with hiking articles. Although it would be better than the many “make money on Medium” articles that I see right now.
• Economy — I’ll pass on this one. Thanks.
• Religion — Perhaps suggested to offset the topic of witchcraft

Anyway, thanks, Medium. I could use a refresh of my homepage.
