I'm not sure why they would take away functionality from their app. I mainly write from my laptop, but sometimes edit or add to stories from my phone. A workaround would be to access Medium from a web page on your phone rather than the app. Still, I find it strange they'd take away a useful feature from their app when more people than ever use their phones to do everything.
