There's a group in Illinois that want to kick the Chicago area out of the state. The point they're missing is that all those Chicago tax dollars that head to the poorest areas of the state would be gone, and Illinois would be one of the poorest states in the nation. Although I suppose Texas could do okay financially with all of their oil. Perhaps we should let them go :)
