Yes. This has been my strategy. I save highly researched, time-intensive articles for other places. I just don't have the time to devote to writing a Medium article where it's a crap shoot if anyone will read it. I'd rather get a set fee from a magazine or client than end up making $2 on an article I spent hours on.
